Practice Information
Practice Philosophy:
While there are several things that contribute to a successful therapy, the top predictor is the "goodness of fit" between psychologist and patient. I offer the following information about myself and my style in order to help you determine whether you would like to include me in the list of providers to consider.
I work with a variety of patients, including those who require a more supportive environment, however what really differentiates me from the "typical" psychologist is my capacity to work with you through all the garbage that exists in our lives and help you start to connect the dots in a meaningful way. Have you ever wondered why you keep making the same mistake? Or why you repeatedly are attracted to same type of person? I help you answer those questions so that next time you are confronted with that scenarios you actually have a choice in the matter.

Practice / Cultural Specialties:
Because of several highly concentrated training experiences I have specialties in a variety of areas, including working with the LGBTQ community, developmental disabilities, brain injuries, foster/adopt families and people exhibiting challenging behaviors. These areas came to be my specialties in part because of my desire to understand the full human experience and because of my ability to manage strong emotions and reactions with calm, composure and maintaining the goal of insight.
As a psychologist, I am a particularly good fit for intelligent, driven individuals looking for a highly confidential and professional environment. I maintain strict privacy and boundaries while maintaining a warm environment that sometimes involves a little humor.

On occasion I work with a patient who is essentially having an existential crisis. “What is the point of [fill in the blank] when the world is so bad” is what I am asked. I struggle with questions such as these as I see their point. Pollution is certainly... View More
